Bridgport City Council Meeting 3/22/2011
Discussion on how to fill the vacant Bridgeport City Council position created when Bill Zweigle became mayor will be just one of the topics on tonight’s council meeting agenda.

Four potential candidates have submitted their names, leaving the council with the options of appointing a replacement or waiting for June’s filing deadline and have the interested parties run for election. Presently the council is operating with four members and a student liaison.

The council will also set a date for a special meeting to announce the settlement between Bridgeport and the Department of Ecology regarding the city’s decades-long issue with water rights.

Tonight’s Bridgeport Council meeting gets underway at City Hall at 7PM.
