Water was the major topic of discussion at the last Winthrop Town Council meeting. A public hearing was held focusing on the possibility of restoring one of the city’s water wells. According to City Clerk Michelle Gains:

There was also a presentation by the engineering firm, Gray and Osborne on the next steps regarding the town’s draft water system plan.
In other business, the mayor gave a short update on the Spring Creek Bridge/Susie Stephens Trail Project, which seems to be moving along on schedule:
There will be a public meeting on the Spring Creek Bridge/Susie Stephens Trail Project at the Barn on Wednesday, March 30th from 6:30 until about 8:30 p.m.
