The Lake Chelan Reclamation District took a definitive step toward restoring its board to its full five members during yesterday’s meeting.
The two candidates who were considered were Howard Vivian and Brad Barnes. Responding to questions from the board, Vivian explained his qualifications:
Vivian has been a full time Manson resident since 2004.
When given his chance, Barnes expressed his concerns for the district:

Barnes has also previously served on the reclamation district board, and listed a number of other community ties.
After meeting in executive session, the board announced that Brad Barnes had been selected due to his experience and understanding of the issues facing the district.
His name will be forwarded to the Chelan County Council for approval, most likely at next Monday’s meeting.
