Chelan School Budget Cuts 3/3/2011
School districts across the state are having to deal with the prospect of serious budget cuts that will run into the millions of dollars and affect programs from kindergarten to graduation. Chelan Schools Superintendent Rob Manahan says planning is necessary to minimize the impacts, but difficult given these times of uncertain funding: "CLICK HERE" for Audio

In addition to cuts already on the table, the state legislature will begin tackling the deficit for the next two years later this month, which could lead to even more serious cuts.
The public will get a chance to hear more and give their input at a Chelan School District retreat that will be held a week from tomorrow at Campbell’s Resort.
