Okanogan Douglas Hospital Board Meeting 2/25/2011
The special Okanogan Douglas Hospital Board Meeting held last week drew a lot of attention, even though the two most contentious items on the agenda: approving the Reduction in Force Policy and its corresponding plan, were deferred until today’s regular board meeting. The move was taken because the board wanted time to review them before making any decision. Still, over two dozen hospital employees attended, which spurred the board to open the meeting to the public to hear input. Board member Dan Webster started by explaining that the consideration of a Reduction in Force Policy and Plan was spurred by economic pressures: "CLICK HERE" for Audio

Nicole Teal, hospital employee pointed out that most of the staff figured the Reduction in Force policies had already been decided upon, and was answered by hospital CEO Dale Polla:

The topic will come up again at today’s Okanogan Douglas Hospital Board meeting starting at noon, along with discussions regarding a new board member.
