The Manson Parks Board is finally back to full speed with the selection of three new members at last Friday’s special meeting. The three join Lorrie Cochran who was named to the board last week by the County Commissioners and Len England who was the board’s only remaining member after a rash of resignations.
The new members are…Matt Carpenter, Randy Reed and Rob Campbell.
The new members were chosen from a field of nine applicants, Carpenter was the first to be named to the board followed by Randy Reed, who owns Reed's Marine in Manson. 16 year Manson resident, Rob Campbell rounded out the selection process

Among the first orders of business, the new board is expected to finally settle negotiations with Petersen for a formal employment contract, negotiations that have been dragging on for months.
The newly assembled board has scheduled a special meeting for 4 p.m. Thursday to get organized and address any unfinished business from the Feb. 10 meeting. The next regularly scheduled Parks board meeting is set for Thursday March 10th.
