Chelan High School Honored With Washington Achievement Awards 2/21/2011
Chelan High School is one of sixteen North Central Washington schools honored by the State Board of Education last week with Washington Achievement Awards.

The board recognized schools in seven categories: overall excellence, language arts, math, science, extended graduation rate, improvement and closing achievement gaps. Chelan High School and Liberty Bell Junior-Senior High School were named for Overall Excellence.

Stehekin School repeated as the only area winner for accomplishments in Math.

Bridgeport High School, Liberty Bell Junior-Senior High School and Omak High School were all recognized for extending their graduation rates, and Paul Rumburg Elementary in Entiat was honored for closing their achievement gap.
