Recap from Chelan City Council Meeting 2/14/2011
The Chelan City Council had a chance to meet staff members of the new County Sheriff’s Office among other business at their latest meeting.

In addition to hearing an update on the Don Morse Park Shoreline Restoration, Beach Enhancement and Marina Expansion Project, the council approved the purchase of a used garbage truck that Bob Goedde is hopeful will pay dividends in a number of ways: "CLICK HERE" for Audio
The council also approved the $800,000 appraisal on the PUD parking lot near the Chamber offices.

There was also a presentation and hearing on the Community Development Block Grant process regarding the Chelan Library expansion project. C.C. Consulting is overseeing the block grant process for the library, and will assist with applying for the grant, reviewing community development and housing needs, and defining the availability of funds and what they can be used for.

Planning Director Dwayne Van Epps also updated the council on the city’s transportation plan. The next Chelan City Council meeting will be Thursday February 24th.
