The committee is looking for a new Twisp police chief to fill a position that has been in flux for over a year. Moriarty said the complicated issue of water rights also came up for discussion. Mayor Ing-Moody and the council agreed to a presentation to the general public on water rights to be held at a future date.

The council also agreed to a day long retreat, open to the public, to be held at Sun Mountain Lodge on Saturday, February 26th. The agenda will be posted on the town’s website and at the post office.

The next regularly scheduled Twisp Town Council meeting is set for Tuesday February 22nd at 7PM.
