A memorial service honoring the life of Paul Raney has been set for this Friday. Raney, a 2006 graduate of Chelan High School lost his life in a tragic shooting last Friday. The service will be held at the Chelan High School Performing Arts Center beginning with a public viewing at 4 p.m.
Following the memorial service, friends and family are invited to Campbell’s Conference Center for a reception. The family is asking all who knew Paul to please attend both the memorial and the reception to celebrate Paul’s life.
The family is further requesting that members of the media please respect their privacy and direct all inquiries to Kozi Radio and refrain from attending both the memorial and the reception.

Paul Michael Raney, 22 of Chelan, tragically passed away in the early hours of Friday, January 28, at a friend's home in Manson. Paul had lived in Chelan the majority of his life, traveling to many places such as Mexico, Hawaii, and any mountain that seemed to have some great snow to play in. He loved to ski ,and with his kind and patient spirit lived to teach the little ones that passion as well. Paul also filled his life with and interest in cars, sports, painting and drawing, listening to music, and reading. Paul graduated from Chelan High School in 2006 and kept great ties to his home town and the close community he grew up in. Survivors include his mom Paula Raney, sister Kimberly, his grandmother G.G., and his niece Isabelle, all of Chelan. He is also survived by his 3 uncles Jimmy, Ried, and J.R.
A public service and viewing will be held this Friday, February 4th, at 4PM at Chelan's Performing Art Center. Reception immediately following at Campbells Resort ballrooms. Arrangements are by Precht Rose Chapel.
