As the entire Chelan Valley tries to cope with the tragic shooting that occurred last Friday in Manson, more details are emerging as to a possible motive.
According to documents filed in Chelan County Superior Court at a bail hearing on Friday afternoon, an argument over an Xbox and an iPod escalated into the fatal shooting at a home on Wapato Way in Manson.
Chelan County Sheriff Brian Burnett identified the dead man as 22 year old Paul Raney, a 2006 graduate of Chelan High School. Burnett said Raney was shot multiple times in the chest with a handgun
Arrested on suspicion of second-degree murder is Steven Swinford, 20, of Chelan. On Friday, Superior Court Judge Lesley Allan set his bail at $1 million during a preliminary appearance. Swinford is being held in the Chelan County Regional Justice Center.
