The Chelan City Council will discuss a wide range of agenda items at tonight’s meeting. Among the topics for consideration is an ordinance dictating the size, type, placement and length of time that signs can be put on display.
The ordinance would ban animated, flashing or moving signs, and roof top or marquee displays that are located on or extend above the eave of any portion of a building.
Also, each year, city staff review rates and fees and make recommendations on which fees, if any, should be adjusted. Adjustments being proposed for 2011 include adding $1.00 to both 9 hole and 18 hole “off-peak” play time, and $3.00 for peak play time at the Lake Chelan Golf Course, and two automatic increases already built into the existing resolution – one for the third of a three year increase in monthly sewer rates – the other relates to R.V. and tent camp site fees at Don Morse Park.
The council meeting begins at 6:00 tonight at the council chambers on Johnson.
