Gordon Lester has announced his resignation from the Lake Chelan Reclamation District Board of Directors.
Among the issues that led to resignation, Lester pointed to the recent dismissal of Director Kem Carr, and what he perceived to be a lack of proper communication on the issue. Carr was replaced by Rod Anderson and Lester also stated in his letter of resignation that (quote) “While Mr. Anderson has been a valued employee for some 16 years, he lacks the qualifications to be Secretary-Manager.” He went on to say “Mr. Anderson has been the spokesman for the employees in the ongoing union negotiations, and as acting district manager, he will now be the chief negotiator for the district, an obvious conflict of interest.”
We will hear from Mr. Lester as part of a two part series on the Lake Chelan Reclamation District beginning tomorrow.
