Large Woody Debris Update 1/18/2011
In another step to avoid what’s considered overbearing, misguided and unreasonable regulation, the Chelan city council passed a resolution last week rescinding the use of the large woody debris anchored underwater to mitigate for loss of aquatic habitat, which means the city will no longer require root wads for people building docks or other above-water projects inside the Chelan city limits.
