Winterfest Activities Already Going On 1/11/2011
Although Winterfest doesn’t officially kick off until this Friday, Chelan Chamber Director Mike Steel says things are already going on.

Winterfest officially begins on Friday with the start of the ice carving competition. Most of the activities are scheduled for Downtown Chelan, on Woodin Avenue, South Emerson Street and Riverwalk Park, however Steel says festival crowds will be keeping merchants busy throughout the valley, especially the wineries.

Another hot spot will be the new Winterfest music stage on Emerson near Riverwalk Park. Steel says the Chamber has been busy nailing down the bands and performers.
