Holden mine cleanup meeting tonight

Chelan County commissioners are on a field trip today at the former Holden mine site, as public input is gathered this week on cleaning up the environmental contamination there.

A cleanup proposal was recently published by the USDA Forest Service, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the state Department of Ecology.

Tonight’s meeting in Holden Village will be held at 8 p.m.

Another public hearing will be at 7:30 p.m. next Tuesday at the Hart Crowser office in Seattle.
